I had been using a backup hard drive to backup all of my vital data but unfortunately thieves broke into our house. Our pc was stolen and the backup hard drive was taken too!  All my precious files were gone. The software I had been using was relatively simple to replace or re-download but unfortunately my data including financial documents, photos, letters and emails were gone forever.

That was also my 2nd backup hard drive already because the first one broke. According to the technician who tried to repair it, my hard drive contained too many terrible sectors that couldn’t be repaired. Only a few of my files were recovered.

These incidents made me realize how ineffective and risky it is to use external hard drives as backup. Hard drives are sensitive to extreme heat, water and dusts. And of course, as I've proved there’s the possibility of them being stolen.

I chose to search online for other reliable backup methods. I bumped into a backup software review and it really caught my attention. The review proved that online backup is the best way to ensure file safety. Among the various backup software available, Carbonite online backup attracted me the most. Aside from its promising features, it offers a risk-free trial so I was able to try it myself and see how excellent it was. Right enough, it’s certainly reliable and very simple to use.

Carbonite Online Backup is a simple, secure and simple-to-use service that automatically backs up the irreplaceable contents of your computer to a safe, offsite location. Working quietly in the background to keep your backup up-to-date, Carbonite safely backs up photos, emails, music, financial records and other vital documents. Carbonite assures users like me that our irreplaceable files are protected from hard drive crashes, theft, fire, floods and other disasters. Restoring lost files takes just a few clicks with Carbonite. Plus, I can backup as many files as I want with unlimited file size!

To ensure file security, Carbonite double encrypts files, just like banks, so we can be sure our files are safe and only the respective owners can access their own files.

Data backup is not just vital in companies and businesses. Even at home, it is vital to backup our treasured family photos, emails, music files, writings and other documents. Online data backup is the reliable way to do it as it will keep our data completely safe from theft, disasters, hardware failures, and other untoward incidents.

If you value the safety and security of your data then I fully recommend you try the Carbonite free trial. You can get to their website by clicking HERE.
